The WAJOOMP is a dedicated jump spool. Through detailed design & testing, the functionality has been improved and as a consequence the stress and task loading needed to perform lay lines is reduced; this reduced task loading makes cave divers more efficient.

Simplifying design without sacrificing safety.

Sometimes, if divers are not concentrating, dealing with markers and spools can lead to silt out conditions and therefore the task of locating and using markers and spools needs to be made as simple as possible. The normal process for using a spool or marker is to reach into the pocket for markers and spool, put away marker holder, attach marker to permanent line and finally attach the spool before moving off. When retrieving line, they have to wind in the line onto the spool, put the spool away, recover the marker, find the marker holder and finally put everything back in the pocket again. (Or some close variation!!)
WAJOOMP has a small storage space in the side of the spool which allows a marker to permanently kept there, reducing the time it takes to deploy a marker and line.
Â
The WAJOOMP holds 50mts of line. White Arrow use line 35kg /66lp strength abrasive resistant nylon sleeve. as is enought strength for this cave procedure.
To avoid line twisting, there is a stainless steel 316 swivel connected to the line. It also comes in three colours; bright yellow, bright green and bright red
